What is a "personal" channel role?

I am an absolute Hubzilla (and klacker.org) newbie. In my default channel I have currently selected the "channel role" of "Personal". But I don't understand what it means. I tried to read the Tutorial, but on the description of channel roles it uses quite different terminology compared to the choices i have in the "Channel Role" settings.
So, I also wonder if anybody else will be able to see this posting! (p.s. I can read German).

The original help (the one you can access via the app menu in Hubzilla) is hopelessly outdated and incomplete. I have recently completely revised and partially rewritten it. It is now at a level that allows it to be integrated directly into the Hubzilla software. This should be done soon... but it will take a little while.

But you can already use the new (current) help. I provide it at Hubzilla Help.
